Entering (Already Paid) Capital Gains on Tax Return

Postby Coys1882 » Mon Jul 14, 2025 3:55 pm

My wife disposed of two properties in the 2024-25 tax year and paid the necessary CGT within the stipulated period.

Does she have to declare them both (again) on her 2024-25 tax return or is it done and dusted?

If she files a self assessment return then yes it needs to be declared again, but there will be a box where you can report the tax already paid

Many thanks for that.
