Hello
How do you get a valuation of a property, to enable calculation of CGT and satisfy HMRC, when transferring ownership between family members? The house in question was habitable at the time of purchase, but it's now part way through renovations - walls have been knocked through, the plastering is being re-done, the electrics is part-functioning and there's no working central heating. In short it's in a less-than-habitable condition, so an off the shelf valuation wouldn't be suitable.
