carry forward capital loss

Postby rjprakash » Sun Jul 21, 2019 9:21 am

I declared a capital loss of more than £ 100000 a few years back
It is still in the HMRC file.
I want to use the whole amount for this year gains
What should I put in column in 45,46,47 & 48

Thank you for your advice

Put the full amount in Box 45
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

You only need to use sufficient loss to bring the gain down to the annual allowance amount, so you will have no allowance left to carry forward.
