My name for him too :D since a third article exploring those freedom of information statistics has not yet materialised. I live in hope that someone with influence viz professional body, the people HMRC pay to ensure the Taxpayer Charter rules are followed, previously 5* ranking jounalists etc wake up and smell the coffee.

Just an update on this, after speaking with HMRC technical I was advised to write to HMRC giving details of the client who is looking to make the second report. I did so.

6 weeks later I've still heard nothing back and we're now outside of the penalty free soft landing zone, so this probably means that she's in line for penalties which I'll need to appeal wasting more time for everyone.

It took nearly 30 mins yesterday for someone to answer my telephone call, with a 2-3 day call back estimate which will inevitably materialise the minute I set foot outside and so I'll have to start the process again with another 30 minute wait. Perhaps with all these people becoming unemployed, Blofeld should look at HMRC staffing levels.

I suggest you issue a £1,600 late response penalty to HMRC and see how they react. 30 days is ample time to deal with anything....even if you live in a Borneo rain forest

Apology-computer slipped.

Still no promised call back from HMRC. Perhaps all HMRC staff are now handling A level appeals?

Still no response from HMRC on the supposed paper forms.

I'll chase again, although I'm sure they'll be very efficient on issuing the penalties....

Dear All,

Haven't they said that they can now do multiple disposals online?

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/managing-your-clients-capital-gains-tax-on-uk-property-account

"If your client sells or disposes of any further properties in the tax year you should use this service to report the Capital Gains Tax for those properties."

It appears you're right, I'm no longer getting the 'contact us for a form' page. I'll work through the next disposals and report back if it's actually working for subsequent disposals. And then await the penalties...

"The only thing less well-publicised than the new residential property CGT disclosure regime is..."

We should hold a competition.

The un-even handed treatment of NRCGT taxpayers by HMRC. There appears to be a conspiracy of silence from tax journalists surrounding the shocking statistics below which suggest some taxpayers have been treated unfairly (try telling the people in the green zone they were treated in the same way as those in the red zone):

Period / Percentage of reviewed appeals accepted.

Quarter ended 31 March 2020 94%
Quarter ended 31 December 2019 97%
Quarter ended 30 September 2019 96%
Quarter ended 30 June 2019 96%
Quarter ended 31 March 2019 97%
Quarter ended 31 December 2018 79%

Quarter ended 30 September 2018 6%
Quarter ended 30 June 2018 3%
Year ended 31 March 2018 16%
8 May 2016-31 March 2017 32%

Lambs, as you sometimes act as conduit, are you able to speak with the tax journalists and report back as to why they are snubbing this story? HMRC's performance above looks more shocking than the exam algorithm which was headline news.
