EIS loss relief on income in current year

Postby davidxt » Tue Jul 14, 2020 12:39 pm

An EIS investment has failed and I have just received the loss relief certificate. I would like to claim the loss against income tax in the current tax year, meaning an adjustment to my PAYE code. But I cannot find out how to do this because the HMRC help docs seem to assume that the capital loss report and the EIS claim are being made when the year has ended. This would mean waiting until at least 6 April 2021.

Can anyone help me to know how (online if possible) it is possible to report a capital loss and EIS claim for the current tax year?

many thanks
