capital gains tax

My former detached annex which I built in 2010 obtained permission as a stand alone property & has been rented out for some years. We are now selling our home adjacent to the annexe & want to move into the annex. How long do we need to live in the annex before we can sell it without incurring capital gains tax.

Your time apportioned occupation will determine how much of the gain is treated as PPR exemption.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
