CGT on Main Residence that becomes a BTL

Postby Martintaxes » Sat Nov 27, 2021 10:27 pm

Hi,
If I have my main residence (for 18 years) revalued by an estate agent prior to renting it out, can I use that valuation as the starting point for calculating CGT if I ever sell it later?
Many thanks in advance,
Martin.

CGT on PPR and letting is calculated on a time apportionment basis, so no valuation required.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
