Shares Consolidation

Postby lawfra » Tue May 09, 2023 6:34 am

Hi Guys,
I own 530 Aviva ordinary shares in 2022. Aviva decided to consolidate their shares and return capital to shareholders by means of B shares. This was completed on the 16 May 2022. I have received cash in payment of the B shares. I would appreciate some advice as to how to complete the Capital Gains Tax Summary with respect to receipt of cash under the B shares scheme. Thanks.
Regards

Thanks pawncob and billipiper for your replies. Much appreciated. I have calculated my gain using the Aviva guidance for calculating capital gains. It works out that I have a gain of £7.27. Do I still need to complete the capital gains summary as it is less than £12300 for Tax Year 2022/2023?
