CGT ON PROPERTY BOND

Postby aedunlop » Tue Sep 26, 2023 8:29 am

I effected a 3-year growth property bond paying the investment plus 30% growth when it matures in June next year. The bond application stated the growth was subject to CGT , I questioned this, as I considered the growth was more likely to attract income tax. The Developer, who issued the bond, advised me that by their tax consultant had advised them that as there was a significant risk element the growth was subject to CGT - is this correct?
