Rolling over call options

Postby eggsnbacon » Wed Dec 04, 2024 12:44 pm

Hello.
If I want to sell a call option expiring, for example, in January 2025, and at the same time buy a replacement expiring in January 2026, I'm guessing that CGT is payable on any profit on the January 2025 call - or is there an equivalent to the bed & breakfast 30-day rule that I might be able to use to defer paying CGT?
Thanks
