hi i hope someone is able to shed some light on my query, My husband and i seperated 2 1/2 years ago and sold the matrimonial home he purchased 2 smaller properties 1 for me and the children, 1 for himself, both the properties are in his name with a deed of trust on my home, holding it in equal shares, the divorce is now underway, and we have been told that when by home is transfered into my sole name from his there will be cgt to pay, i have read about a 3 year exemption, would this case fall under that category.? any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
