Finding share price info for CGT base cost calcs

Can anybody advise me how to find out share price details for dates going back to 31 March 1982, for PLC type shares (Boots,Glaxo,Shell etc).

I know the share movements (mostly dividend re-investment) and need either the dividend rates or the share price (plus I need the 31 March 1982 price to start with).

You could try,

although this is a subscription service. Otherwise ask your tax office for guidance on how they will calculate the input price
