Postby Nat2321302 » Wed Apr 24, 2024 4:40 pm

Hi I wanted to ask, a client of mine is having rental properties 2 freehold and 1 leasehold in a Limited Company
which he received rental income,

My question is do i need to separate the land and Building of this investment property and depreciate the Building element by 2% on a straight line basis or the investment property not required to be depreciated

My understanding of personal affairs (with professional guidance), as long as you follow the same accounting protocol throughout the period of tenurship, then it is justifiable. Both have different benefits. Pick one and stick to it.
