Hello - any comments on the following would be appreciated.

Small limited co, two directors. Travel and entertaining costs are incurred for business purposes. Sometimes the costs are incurred using the company credit card, on other occasions the directors incur the cost and reclaim on monthly expense claim. Having read various Revenue booklets it appears these costs, whether incurred on the company card or personally by the directors and later reimbursed need reporting on the individual directors P11D form even though they appear not to be taxable on the directors. Could anyone possibly confirm whether I am correct in my assumption.
Many thanks

Yes it true. You have to report the expenses incurred by the director for business purposes in the P11d. However, because this are expenses incurred wholly and exclusively for business purpose you then complete form 336 relief claim.

This will allow you to set of the amount reported in the P11D form. The form 336 should be sent to the relevant tax office of the tax payer.
