Is FX and CFD trading classed as trading income

Postby taxCmpy » Mon Jun 13, 2016 11:07 pm

Hello,

I have just set up a limited company through which I will trade CFD and FX products. I want to know if the profits from this business will be subject to just regular corporation tax as any other company would, or will I have to pay CGT. Note, the only business the company carries out is prop trading.

Thanks

If the company is trading, I do not see how you will have to pay CGT

For a company the rate of corporation tax is the same on trading profits and capital gains
