transfer of properties between companies

Postby rajesh » Thu Mar 28, 2019 4:40 pm

we have two companies:
co a - has 2 properties
co b - has 1 property
we want to transfer the 2 properties from co a to co b without incurring any taxes
the co structures are:
co a - dir a and dir b
co b - dir a and dir b

It is possible BUT not with the current structure. (when you say director, I presume you also mean shareholder).

As things stand there will be corporation tax and SDLT payable on transfer (other taxes will also need to be considered).

It's complicated and not a DIY job.
