Corporation Tax Return

Postby steve01252 » Tue Apr 09, 2019 1:41 pm

Hi
A business engages with an broker to market and sale the company. For this service the broker charges an engagement fee and then
a subsequent sales commission in the even that this business is sold.
The engagement fee is £12000. I have been advised that this cost is not for the benefit for the actual trade, and therefore not allowable
for corporation tax purposes. Any comments on this please.
