Employing a family member

Postby DrakeHarold » Fri Aug 13, 2021 8:45 am

Hi all & festive greetings,

a quick question; I have a ltd co based in the UK in the retail sector, my brother is an IT whizz and I want him to help me out with internet marketing, design over the next 2 years etc BUT he is based in spain - I'm not sure whether to have him as an employee of my company (is this allowed with him being based in Spain and my co in the UK) OR ask him to invoice for his works each month as and when he completes them?

Many thanks, JmB

Have him invoice you as and when. It's up to him to declare the income in Spain.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
