We have received notice to deliver a Company Tax Return for a small club that is registered as a CASC.
The Period stated is 1 Jan to 31 December 2020, however our financial year runs 1 Oct. There is no tax to pay.
The note says "If the period shown is not an accounting period, a return is required for each accounting period that ending during, or at the end of the period shown above". It also says "if the company was outside the charge for corporation tax throughout the period shown, for the whole of that period" Does this mean that we submit a return for the period 1 Oct 2019 to 30 Sep 2020 only?
Does the return need to be submitted online or in paper format?
