issue of new shares in a company

Postby Yiannis17 » Thu Feb 17, 2022 12:09 pm

Morning

Have someone who has 100 ordinary £1.00 shares in their company. An investor is coming on board for a considerable amount for a 41% shareholding and it has been decided to issue new shares as opposed to the current shareholder transferring their shares. Is there a capital gains tax on this issue on new shares?

Thank you
