if you owe the taxman a lot of money and cant pay the amount + fines/interest is the debt cleared through bankruptcy/insolvency ?

I.e. if i owe 250k and go bankrupt, is the matter closed?

or can they wait untill the bankruptcy is over and go after me again ?

i take it that this is directly related to your other thread

as i have previously advised, once you declare yourself as bankrupt, all creditors must contact the offical receiver

however, in respect of I.R. and a substantial amount such as this, you must acquire legal advice/solicitor very, very urgently
