My employer paying tax and ni contributions through associat

Postby mohramzan » Wed Apr 03, 2013 11:49 pm

Hello there
I work for a company part time and every month I get paid through BACS and issued a pay slip which clearly mentions how much tax and NI has been deducted, But recently i had to get my employer history and i came to know that my employer paying tax and ni contribution through an associated company with the same employee refrence as its depicts in pay slips.

Is that legal? is any documentation which i can consult for future refrence.
I had to apply for my visa and how i can convince UK border agency that its legal.

your help will be much appreciated.

Regards

This is nothing unusual- many partnerships use a separate company to employee the employees.

You have nothing to worry about as long as the tax and NIC is actually reaching HMRC- which can be checked quite quickly by calling HMRC and asking them to confirm that your NIC record is up to date.
