Claiming Expenses

Postby Creeky » Thu Jan 22, 2015 10:58 pm

Hello All,
Last year I unwittingly paid a website to file my tax return on my behalf thinking it was the real website. I have been unable to gain a refund. So I still have the expense. Can you tell me if I can legally file this as an expense on this current SA? I can't see why not as (putting the scam aside) I used a third party to file a SA for business purposes and paid them for it.

I don't have an invoice, But I have emails and bank statements.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

No you cannot deduct as paying fees to an agent(or website) to file your tax return is not tax deductible

Kind Regards

Sash
