If I claim jobseekers allowance, do I show up in the tax system

Postby SvenHindy » Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:22 am

Hi
Ive worked overseas for 20 years and just dropped out of the tax system. I was repatriated/evacuated back to UK and Im now out of work. If I sign on and claim job seekers allowance, do I show up in the tax system again.
Thanks

If you want the state to give you money, the State needs to know who you are.

It’s not the money that I’m after actually. It’s to qualify for home mortgage insurance.
