Taxes on income from Spain?

Postby Triod » Mon May 31, 2021 3:01 pm

Hi everyone,

I've been living in London for more than 16 years, and my parents are going to send me money from Spain to help me while I do my studies as I can only work part time while I'm going to the University. They are thinking of transferring me 10000 euros for next year's course. Would I have to pay taxes for it? Is it better if they make small monthly payments instead of a big one?

Thanks
Ignacio G.Z.

No tax due on gifts from abroad.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

Thanks for sharing details here. I even didn't know much about it.
