Complicit in tax evasion

Postby Jacky123 » Wed Dec 25, 2024 8:11 am

Hi I have a friend who wanted to report a what looks like a dodgy company for possible tax evasion. Only trouble is he used the service without realising. The company offers cash alternative for a cheaper quote, and the company also gets you to pay for parts but into the directors personal account.
He is worried that he may also get in trouble for being complicit after paying them for these services but only put two & two together after the service was carried out.
Could he get in trouble too if he was to report this company?
Thanks

No he won't be in trouble.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
