Took voluntary redundancy gross pay for the redundancy was £37841.17 which included working a mth in April the tax taken out on the full amount was £2211.73
My income is £965 state pension every 4 weeks
And my company pension is £639 per mth both these amounts are net payments i was wondering is the tax on the redundancy pay looks a lot of tax i did try and ring my tax office but after 45mins waiting my company hr are also going to check i understand the first £30000 is tax free any help much appreciated thank you sorry no full stops comers and capital letters
