I am in process of making a claim on my income protection following redundancy, will I have to pay income tax on the monthly benefit I receive?
Also I have a separate mortgage protection policy with a different company, can I claim on both policies?

Normally they will refuse payout of one of these. Can recommend a good financial advisor to read the small print.

How will the two different companies know that I am claiming?
Incidently I cover on my credit card balance of about 15000 and they are supposed to pay 5% of the balance on each month I claim.
