Tax on Income Remitted to the UK when Abroad

Postby solange » Fri Jan 23, 2015 11:50 am

Hi guys

Hoping someone can help.

Last year(April), I moved from the UK to live in a tax free country. I earn a small amount of money each year from the Internet...around £200, and this is paid into my UK account.

Would this be tax free income, or because it's paid to the UK account need to be taxed?

Thanks for any replies

Hi

Depends if you are trading or not and when you left the UK (if you were considered as resident). Anyway will be covered by your personal allowance if you had no income. Though I doubt HMRC are going to be bothered by £200.

Though it probably need to be declared in the country you currently live

Kind Regards

Sash
