Short term lets

Postby Itj » Wed Jan 23, 2019 12:35 pm

I’m doing my 17/18 self assessment. I have 3 houses I rent out and happy about declaring income from them. However, I have let my main residence for a couple of months this year as a Short Term Let. Do I add the income and expenses to the other 3 houses or can I treat my home short let separately and use the £1000 allowance to offset its taxable income. If so, how to do I declare this on the tax return?

All income from your property business is added together.
