Simplified expenses and Capital allowances

Postby nc00 » Sun Jan 27, 2019 4:43 pm

Please help I'm trying to do 2017/2018 self-assessment. I purchased a new van in March 2018 but I want to claim simplified expenses on my old van I did 23,000 miles and the van was not worth much. Can I put the new van on capital allowances in the same tax year and if so does it have to be the full amount as this will take me below my personal allowence?

Any help is much appreciated :D
