Tax on Shares Vesting Early

Postby helinlouise » Sat Apr 06, 2019 4:10 pm

Hi,

I have been given some shares by my company a month ago which are part of an incentive plan.

However, we have been told the company is to be taken over and delisted. The shares will therefore vest immediately upon take over.

I am a higher rate tax payer, what tax is payable and are there any ways I can mitigate this?

Thanks

Helen
