Newly self-employed, key dates

Postby marchombre02 » Sun Nov 10, 2019 6:07 pm

Hello,

I have just started doing a few days as self-employed since May 2019. I was wondering when is the deadline to register for self-assessment, was it october 2019, or is it october 2020? Will I be filling a self-assessment form and paying taxes this january 2020, or will it be january 2021.
I am a a little bit confused regarding the dates, any help is appreciated.

With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

In your situation, you should register by 5 October 2020 and submit your tax return and pay your liability by 31 January 2021.
