Chang of accounting period

Postby eickarmes » Sun Apr 26, 2020 3:44 pm

I currently have a year end of the 31/03/2020 and have been drawing up year end accounts to this date. If I want to extend this accounting period to 31/09/2020, what implications could this cause? Would this mean my tax liable during the period up to the 31/03/2020 will not be payable until the next tax year?

E,

Are you talking about a company or about a sole trader? The rules for Income Tax v Corporation Tax are quite different.
