Eligible costs for temporary workplace allowance

Postby TalhaKadwa » Tue Jul 21, 2020 6:24 pm

Greetings All,
I am currently in the UK on a work assignment less than 24 months. I am eligible to claim temporary workplace tax relief.
My question is related to qualifying expenses. Could I for example include leisure travel cost? Or is this strictly for subsistence costs related to work (accommodation, travel to work etc?)
Thanks!

Qualifying expenditure is amounts you pay for travel to and accommodation and subsistence at a temporary workplace.

Hi,
You can claim following expenses depending on your income.

Use of home =10*52 per week 520
Telephone and Mobile
Travel could be TFL tickets =Millage *0.45 upto 10,000 miles.
Motor expense less ratio for private use.
