Property Income

Postby Reckful » Wed Aug 19, 2020 4:08 pm

Hi there, this is hopefully a simple question but it's something I want to make sure of. If I make my wife the sole legal owner of a flat (ie make her the sole purchaser) can she receive, and declare for tax purposes, 100% of the income?

Thanks

Not if you “make her”.

But if you buy a house for your wife, it will be hers to with as she pleases, and she will be responsible for any taxation consequences.
