covid forces temporary return to uk

Postby Jenkins » Fri Feb 19, 2021 12:52 pm

What is the tax situation when covid has forced return to uk? usually work full time overseas (foreign company) for 8 weeks then return to Uk rented family home for 2 weeks leave on a regular basis. At start of pandemic was forced to work from UK (114 days in this tax year), returned overseas but now temporarily working back in uk (24 days to date). Is tax due on foreign income?

HMRC may recognise your predicament and UK days could be ignored. Please read here for great advice on the subject... https://home.kpmg/xx/en/home/insights/2020/10/flash-alert-2020-440.html
