self employed during the pandemic

Postby Walkman » Mon Dec 20, 2021 12:23 pm

I am self employed - but worked very little in the 20/21 tax year due to covid. I claimed the SEISS grant. I did spend a considerable amount of time during the first lock down designing a new website.

I have a room at home which I use solely as an office - no other usage.

I usually claim a percentage of my home expenses to cover this.

What would be a fair amount to claim in the 20/21 tax year?

Thank you

Have you considered using “Simplified Expenses”? Here is the link to the .gov.uk website
