Heritage Tax

Postby dynamicmormon » Sun Dec 26, 2021 12:14 am

Hallo,

I live in the UK and my aunt in Germany died. I got informed by a german court that I am in the will mentioned to get the bank account with 100.000,00 EUR in Germany.

I have some questions

1. Do I have to report it HMRC?

2. How I report it?

3. Starts the sixth month line when I take heritage after the I said to the german court I take it, or when I get informed by a german court that I am in the will?

4. How much is the capital gain tax and applie the threshold of 325.000 GBP?

5. Do I have to apply the threeshold or does HMRC automatically?
