Simplified Motoring Expenses - Hire Van

Postby rbro88 » Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:11 am

Hi there.

I wonder if anyone can help?

I am a part time courier.

I work three days a week and hire the van from the company I drive for.

How should I claim this expense?

Does it qualify as "motoring expenses" and allow me to use the simplified expenses claim against mielage?

Or do i need to claim it as a normal expense and would this be 100% deductable as i only use it for the job (zero private use).

Many thanks

You’ll need to use the actual costs.
