Hello clever people:
Just filled in my SA return for 2021/22 and I owe £1035 in tax. So before the 31st Jan 2023, I owe £1035 plus half on account, £517 = £1552.
I have £1257 in credit so I owe £1552 - £1257 = £295 by 31 Jan 2023.
2nd Payment on account of £517 would be due by 31 July 2023.
Is this right, only HMRC are saying this:
Your balance
You are £739.67 in credit and you owe £517.53.
Your bill will be paid on 31 July 2022. You can leave the £222.14 that will be left in your account and it will be credited to your next Self Assessment bill. Or you can claim a tax refund (opens in new tab).
Thanks
