Unable to enter negative expense on return

Postby Buddy85 » Tue Apr 21, 2026 2:29 pm

Hi all,

I was a property landlord but have now sold up... Due to some refunds for property insurance that were paid for in the 24/25 tax year, my expenses in the 25/26 tax year are negative by a small amount.

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to enter a negative figure on my return (I've tried using - and also () but it doesn't work).

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
