I am New zealand resident and have sold my uk rental property, does this have to be declared on the uk tax return?

If you were outside the UK more than 5 tax years prior to selling and remain non resident the gains will escape UK taxes and also NZ CGT (as it does not exist). The rental income will be declared up to date of disposal, the property gains do not have to be in the circumstances mentioned. Yes if sold Regards Adrian S
