I have a small UK limited company in the IT services sector and can work from anywhere that we choose as its all conducted over the internet. We have decided to live and work in Dubai and have already been granted a trading licence out there. It means that UK business which what was previously invoiced by our UK company will in future be invoiced from our new Dubai Company. My question is, is it that simple to make the company move, or will there be some sort of inquisition from the UK tax inspector?
Thankyou

This could get complicated. As a UK company it remains UK resident, so probably will be dual resident. Also, there is no double tax treaty with Dubai, which means that a charge to UK tax is possible. It might be simpler to start a new company out there.

Beware.
If you simply transfer the TRADE of the UK Company it could be treated as disposing of its Goodwill and face a tax bill.

Better to take advice about whether to liquidate the Company first or sell the Goodwill to a Dubai based Company.
