Italian income

Postby Herbs16 » Mon May 22, 2017 3:18 pm

Dear forum
I have an Italian doctor friend who lives and is domiciled in the UK, he received private practice income from Italy.
Is that taxed in the UK?
Im undertaking his tax return to help him and the software is not including the income on his tax return as I am stating this is foreign, Im guessing the software needs overriding?

I thought he should be taxed in the UK on his worldwide income.

Thanks

Hi

Looks like he tax resident in the UK then yes all his wordwide income is taxable.

He probably is treaty tax resident in Italy and then will get a credit for the UK Tax paid if his income in Italy is taxed

Kind Regards

GTA
