Supplier is requesting VAT number

Postby Jthiggins12 » Thu Jul 15, 2021 10:50 am

Hi, I have recently purchased a product from Hong Kong and the supplier is requesting a VAT number or IOSS number before it can be collected by the delivery company. Unfortunately, I am not a business so I'm not in possession of these - is there anything I can do?

I'm intending on starting a business but, I don't meet any of the criteria to register for VAT etc yet either way.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks,

Tell them you're not registered???
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
