Working Remotely in UK for US or Canadian company (UK Citizen).

Hi there.

This is a hypothetical question in order to best get the lay of the land for job applications.

If a UK citizen works for a company in the US from home in the UK, what is the score for remuneration and tax?

•Should the applicant be treated as an employee of the US company? If so how would remuneration and tax be treated?

•Should the hiring company and applicant interact on a contractor basis? If so, should the applicant work self-employed one man-band or have an LTD company. Would IR35 come into play?

How would tax work in each scenario - which country collects tax?
Are there any other things to consider?

Would the same apply to positions in Canada?

Thank you so much for reading and I really appreciative of your help!!!
