Hi
I have a situation here where a UK individual has found employment in France for 7 months. Nov X1 - May X2 so it straddles 2 tax years. In this period, he travels home to the UK every Friday returning Monday. He is paid and taxed in France. Would he qualify for non residency for this period? Or would he need to declare all this income and the foreign tax on his tax return?

Can almost guarantee, either under SRT or under treaty that he would not be non resident.

UK Res, taxed on worldwide income should get a foreign tax credit for the French tax arising tho
