CFC Croatia

Hi!

To fully summarise, I am a Croatian national and citizen and live in Croatia. My office, house and LTD company is in Croatia. I left the UK in 2019 and still visit my friends and father frequently therefore I am still a tax resident in the UK. I declare all of my foreign earnings such as wages and dividends to HMRC. However I have just found out about something called a controlled foreign company which could possibly apply. Being in Croatia I am not in a tax haven and in a whitelist country. My profits are also a lot less than the £500000 limit for a controlled foreign company. Do I still need to make some sort of return to HMRC regarding CFC or am I exempt from being a CFC due to the above low profit and not being in a tax haven country? If this business was actually in the UK, total tax when combined with corporation tax, VAT and dividends would likely be the same or less than what I pay now.

Thank you for any input on this in advance.
