Majestic Wine is seeking admission to Nasdaq which means it will no longer be an AIM share with IHT exemption. In order to replace with an AIM share that does qualify must Majestic be sold before joining Nasdaq?

I thought it had been bought by Fortress.

As a UK company it can't list on NASDAQ.

Thank you. I should have put the new name for Majestic - Naked Wines. Majestic who bought Naked Wines then sold its stores to concentrate on online with the name change. The Telegraph Business Section, reporting recently on the change, stated that Naked Wines was seeking listing on Nasdaq.

Further to my last posting, I've found 47 UK companies listed on Nasdaq.

To answer your question, yes.
s.107(2):

"...any other property concerned was such that, had the transfer of value been made immediately before it was replaced, it would (apart from section 106) have been relevant business property in relation to the transfer."

- otherwise the two year period will have to start again when you re-invest the proceeds of sale
